Arrival in Fenis and guided visit of the majestic castle which, differently from the others, built for military goals and for protection, is not placed on the top of a promontory, but on a soft small hill, lacking of natural defenses. Connecting to the characteristics of the fortifications those of a noble residence, it was, in fact, the prestigious symbolic headquarter of the main exponents of the Challants, Baldassarre Castellar, Alfredo d’Andrade. Nowadays, the building belongs to the independent Region of Valle d’Aosta, which made of it the headquarter of the Mobile Valdostano Museum.
Continuation of the trip to Aosta for free lunch.
During the beginning of the afternoon, there will be a guided visit of the city, with pauses in the main monuments: Augustus’ Arch, the roman ruins of the Amphitheater, the Cathedral, the S. Orso’s Colleggiata.
In addition, there will be a laboratory of the typical valdostano craftsmanship, or the visit of a cheese factory of Fontina or a producer of local lard.
Accommodation in Hotel of the Aosta/Parco PNGP’s area and dinner.
Meeting with the naturalistic guide and visit of the National Park of Grand Paradiso (for example: Valsavarenche’s Valley), with the possibility of fitwalking, orienteering, environmental education, identification of wild plants, animals’ sighting, etc.

End of the trip and return to the bus-stop within 16:00
